SCVI Cottages, LLC is a local family owned and operated business that provides two separate cottages for you to choose from. Both are conveniently located in downtown Cruz Bay, next to Mongoose Junction. Both are within walking distance to all the popular restaurants, shopping, entertainment, and nightlife!
Take a short 1-mile hike on Lind Point Trail and you will arrive at the secluded Solomon Bay Beach with its sugar white sand and stunning aqua waters. Continue on five (5) more minutes and you will arrive at Honeymoon Beach with its soft white sand and shallow water access.
Our Story
Our Great - Grandfather (George Stuckert Sr.) came to St. John in 1947 and upon seeing St. John's close community and natural resources he decided to purchase around 30 acres of land in downtown Cruz Bay. This was also around the same time that Lawrence Rockefeller was purchasing land to donate to the National Park. Our Grandparents (George Stuckert Jr. and Doris Stuckert) purchased the property in 1959 with the intent to build a vacation home. In 1968 and ultimately moved to St. John permanently in 1971. George Jr. and Doris lived on the property, now know as N'Joy Cottage for 35+ years. While on St. John, they started the St. John Lumber Company in 1972 which was a working Lumber yard on St. John for many years and supplied hardwoods to the local communities to build. Unfortunately, the Lumber Yard was destroyed by fire in 1995, the remaining structure was sold however it kept the name "The Lumberyard". The building itself was unfortunately destroyed by hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017 and the land is now a parking lot. The land still holds the name "The Lumber Yard".
​In 2005, our parents (George Stuckert III and his wife Linda) purchased N'Joy from Grandma Stuckert (Doris) and moved into the home permanently for the next 17 years. During that time, George III and Linda spent their time on St. John sailing, hiking, snorkeling and making lifelong friends. They were also very successful at racing their J-30 sailboat "Zing". Their children David and Traci, who spent their childhoods summering with their grandparents on island, were given a new chance to bring their own children to the island. After 17 years, George III and Linda decided it was time to move back to the mainland to continue the enjoyment of their most beloved pass time...mountain biking!
​In 2022, David and Traci, along with their spouses (Jada and Daniel) decided to purchase the family home. It was then that SCVI Cottages LLC was born. With a little updating, and much hard work N'Joy is now a very successful vacation rental in the heart of St. John. In 2023, SCVI Cottages received permits from local authorities to build a second small cottage on the property. David and Daniel went to work immediately building the second cottage. With a lot of hard work and sweat, we are hopeful that D'Lite Cottage will be ready for rentals in December of 2024.

Refunds and Cancellations
There are no refunds for any cancellations received later that 45 days before the first day of the reservation, unless the property is re-rented, the full amount, less 20% handling fee, will be refunded.
